Description
Micro-gasification: Cooking with gas from dry biomass is the title of a GIZ HERA document written by Christa Roth and originally released in 2011 (click here for original version) as an introduction to concepts and applications of wood-gas burning technologies for cooking. The 2014 revised edition reflects the current state of the art in the growing topic of generating cooking energy by using dry biomass for gasification. It includes the technical background, together with project examples, as well as more recent developments in gasifier stove technologies. The manual concludes with a look into biochar, the use of charcoal for soil fertility and carbon capture.
Made possible by the tax-payers of the Federal Republic of Germany, this document is administered by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) and resides in the public domain (not copyrighted).
