Rebecca, Jed, Teddy and others,
There is activity and progress with the clay and steel TLUD stove called
Akha, being made in Bangladesh by Mahbubul Islam, with assistance from
Julien Winter of Canada. It is a project of the Bangladesh Biochar
Initiative (BBI), so I am including the Biochar Listserv to also receive
this message. Mahbubul and Julien will report on that work when they
are ready, and I can briefly update a bit about it at ETHOS at my
Saturday evening session.
For now I want to see if we can organize for an informal discussion (not
a scheduled presentation) of the Akha stove at the ETHOS conference.
Anyone interested in having clay be the major building material of TLUD
cookstoves is welcome to join us. I think that Rebecca, Jed and I will
all be there. Anyone else interested and will be at ETHOS? Please
let us know. If interested (to the point of making and testing, not
just currious interest) but not attending ETHOS, also please let us
know, in case we develop some type of working group.
