Description
Densified Biomass: A New Form of Solid Fuel — a second edition release of a Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) publication authored in 1978 by Thomas B. Reed and Becky Bryant — is available here as a 63-page document from the archives of the former Biomass Energy Foundation (BEF). This second edition release includes an appended paper on Energy of Biomass Densification. A “state of the art evaluation of densified biomass fuels” with documentation of processes, energy balance, economics and applications. First published in 1978, this is the best (only?) text on theory and practice.
This publication was originally sold by the Biomass Energy Foundation (BEF) for $22.50. Dr TLUD and staff would like to thank Dr. Thomas B. Reed for making this publication available for free distribution.

Note: This document is a PDF file produced by optically scanning a paper copy. Since it is not derived from a native word-processing format, pages may appear out-of-alignment and/or oddly ordered (as for book binding). This is the best copy we can provide at this time.
