Biochar/Gasifier Stove Camp
Labor Day Weekend
30 August – 03 September 2013
with Dr. Paul S. Anderson (Dr TLUD), Eng. Bob Fairchild, Albert Bates, Eng. Frank Michael and others
UPDATED 09 AUGUST 2013: The Biochar/Gasifier Stove Camp at The Farm has been cancelled. Those who would have attended may wish instead to attend the North American Biochar Symposium held 13-16 October 2013 at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. This event will include an additional “Field Day” on Thursday (17 October 2013) where Dr TLUD and others will be presenting on the practical issues of making biochar in small quantities.
Very interested in any comments Dr. Anderson would have regarding bamboo as a charcoal fuel.
Greg
Dear Greg,
Bamboo can be a great fuel in TLUD gasifiers, and make very nice
charcoal. This discussion about fuels is done at the Stove Listserv.
Dr TLUD
I’m interested in using a micro gasifier stove in the US. Where are the plans to build one? Is there a way to purchase?
Dear James Newlin,
Please see the manual by Christa Roth that identifies numerous
micro-gasifiers.

Sorry that there is not yet a clear single response to your question.
There are do-it-yourself versions on the Internet and YouTube.
